Interesting article. As a New York criminal lawyer, I see a lot of people getting aquitted for trial only to face another variation of the same charges. This is especially true in the cases of white collar crimes where the same crime can be interpreted in a myriad of ways. One of my clients ended up being hit with a Federal indictment while he was getting ready to go gome after winning a ID theft trial. A lot of times, the State and Federal prosecutors work together.
